IIT Kharagpur’s Impressive Ranking in QS Asia World University Rankings 2024: Fifth Among Indian Institutes

The QS Asia World University Rankings 2024 places the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur at the fifth position among Indian institutions, securing the 59th position overall in the continent. Published by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), the rankings include various Indian institutes like IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, Indian Institute of Science Bangalore, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, and the University of Delhi, encompassing a total of 148 Indian institutions.

 

IIT Kharagpur proudly achieves a position in the top 7% in the QS Asia University Rankings, attaining an impressive overall score of 54.5. Its notable performance in categories such as the international research network, papers per faculty, employer and academic reputation, and staff members holding PhDs contributes significantly to its ranking.

The rankings consider ten indicators, including academic and employer reputation, faculty-student ratio, international relations network, citations per paper, and staff qualifications, reflecting the diverse aspects of educational excellence.
